one of my funniest therapy moments was when i asked the therapist ‘so you know the Bocksten Man?’ and it was clinically relevant.
Everyday in my notes people love and support bockstensmannen
Bockstensmannen being one of swedens absolute most famous dead people showcased at a swedish museum
It is interesting to show how much attention he apperntly could get on a international plattform
Bockstensmannen go! And also, perhaps if you found my blog via bockstensmannen post, please consider clicking the link for the musuem who got him. They need some well deserved internet traffic!
And also, i feel like they should reap some pf the benefits, my post being me basically live blogging what i learned on their website
This is the link to the musuem.
Varbergs fästning är ett av Hallands största besöksmål. Fästningen har medeltida anor och binder samma Dansk och Svensk historia.
There are translation options to click on the website. They appear to be sadly be machine generated though... but swedish and english are closely related languages, so at least that one should be unddrstanble, although oddly worded at times
när jag fortfarande använde tinder skrev jag en gång “bockstensmannen och chill” i min bio och jag har aldrig fått så många meddelanden och superlikes som då

bockstensmannen och hans lilla luva
so i'm an archaeology student currently taking a course focused on museums and exhibitions in addition to my regular course in archaeology. and writing about the bocksten man exhibition in varberg and comparing it to saab car museum in trollhättan is fucking hilarious like they're both legit museums (well one of them at least used to be only to sell cars really) but it feels so weird and it's so fun im comparing this frankly beautiful effort of so many talented artists and even surgeons and x-ray technicians to bring this bog body "back to life" (not showing human remains here but you can google it if you're interested!)
to this industrial sterile white hellscape (sorry saab lovers) which is really just a (granted a very impressive) collection of saab cars put on exhibit for saab nerds
cultural heritage and archaeology is very fun
