Goose and Slider still grew up together and planned to join the Navy when they were younger, they grew up near to a naval base in Tennessee so their school took them to Annapolis to the Naval Academy in their freshman year

But either both of them got rejected from the Academy or they just went off the idea of joining the Navy, either way they don't join the Navy but still end up in Annapolis

Slider meets Ice when he goes to get a tattoo and they get closer

But this is a goosecarole focused post so we're here for them

Carole was working as a library assistant and in a diner when Goose started randomly showing up at both of them without recognising her until he did and then they hit it off

He was wallowing around, working at a bar maybe, when after a year or two of dating and moving in together, they start to jokingly plan owning a florists called Bradshaw Blooms

She jokes that she'll have to be a Bradshaw for them to use that name and after a few weeks he proposes on the harbour, she says yes

They get married, lots of flowers and cheesy music and slow dancing against each other drunk

It's after this that they save up to rent a florists, they learn so much, they ask every florist they see and make a detailed business plan

In this chaos, Carole finds a book on flower language

Their florists is vibrant and welcoming with small gifts and trinkets

Goose realises how cute Carole looks with an apron on and a ribbon in her hair

He handles deliveries, cuts stems in the back and organises flowers, his fingers end up yellow from pulling seed pods out from lilies and green from stems

Carole's hands have indents from cutting and holding scissors

She handwrites the notes in swoopy fonts, organises the shop, she handles a lot of front of house stuff

Goose got good at maths for the Academy so handles the books more

They have an aesthetic Instagram page too

They try to handle big events and deliveries themselves at first but just can't handle that, prep in the shop and dealing with orders, so hire Mav to help with deliveries and prepping flowers for use

Carole tells Goose, who's learnt about flower language from Carole after years of her telling him, she's pregnant when she makes a bouquet of spare or unusable flowers

He's extatic

She's adorable while pregnant with dungarees on

They move into the apartment over the shop during this time and Bradley is welcomed to a home that smells of flowers and he constantly has green stains on his face

He decides sunflowers are his favourite

He learns about maths by helping at the counter

They all have matching denim dungarees that Carole embroiders with the Bradshaw Blooms logo

Goose tries to impress Carole by putting the outdoor displays out in one go to show off his strength but pulls a muscle

Goose looks like a country boy in his dungarees

Goose puts a flower behind Carole's ear all the time, he does this with Bradley too when he's older than a baby

Bradley sneezes from pollen and his hair goes all fluffy

His hair is constantly a birds nest which is why he's called Rooster
