Will preface this by saying that Odyssey was a very good film (don't know about adaptation) but here are my gripes from a personal/sensory point of view:
This film is so loud, arguably unnecessarily so. I've never had to cover my ears in a cinema before and my chair was vibrating
Animals get hurt in this, not like all the time, but in a way that felt unnecessary? Why did you have to show me a dog getting kicked multiple times? Why show me blood coming out of sheep heads?
Main one! There's a scene (trying to avoid spoilers) that I knew vaguely storywise was going to happen but it's genuinely triggered me and made me feel off for a portion of the film. The scene has people eating a lot, like shovelling food into their faces, can't stop it, meant to be kind of disgusting, and then body horror. None of it was forewarned, hence why I'm making this, and it was all over the cinema screen for a good few minutes and all I wanted to do was turn it off or skip past or leave but couldn't. It's not something necessarily wrong with the film, it definitely serves a purpose because this film has horror elements and is meant to make you uncomfortable about the subject matter (eg war etc), but the only other times I've felt like that are about the 2 films/properties I can't go near with a ten foot pole because it will ruin my entire day
I recommend Does the Dog Die for warnings if you have sensitivities or triggers.

It gives you all warnings for shows and movies with details.
Thank you! I'll use it in future
