LETS GO BLUE BLOOM ✧˖°💙🥕

Aren’t these blue delphiniums absolutely breathtaking? Delphiniums are some of my favorite flowers but they are close to impossible to grow here in Austin. Larkspur is an alternative but, of course, it is much less showy. I have never seen delphiniums grown so beautifully anywhere else than in England where this photo was taken. Gardeners there often go through the labor intensive process of staking each flower stalk individually because the blooms break easily in strong winds and heavy rains. Are any of you my dear followers growing delphiniums? What is your experience with them? One more day to go and then it is the weekend, again. I hope you are having a wonderful one. I definitely plan to be out in the garden. There is lots to do in the moment. One job I urgently need to tackle is pruning our two big white flowering crepe myrtles. In an effort to make my dream of creating an English style garden here in Austin, Texas come true, I continue my search for plants that are typical English or similar looking substitutes for these. A plant that I have often seen in England and which I dearly love is cranesbill or hardy geranium. I took this photo in England and I believe the variety could be hardy geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’. I have three questions for you my dear followers: 1. Do you think this hardy geranium is really ‘Johnson’s Blue’? 2. Could you recommend other nice hardy geranium varieties? 3.
