You'd probably be Frankenstein (the scientist, not the monster). I can totally see you as the evil genius in the labcoat laughing and sewing parts together because of reasons.
Genetic engineering is pretty much the coolest thing and messing with telomeres would be a lot of fun. I dunno if I’d call it evil per say though, maybe just… outside of certain current ethical standards that severely limit progress to the detriment of people? (Not to say all ethical standards are bad, but some are a little too harsh and mostly held in place by fear) I would hopefully be a better parent to anything I created than Frankenstein was, though. About 40% of his problems and 90% of the deaths could have been avoided if he hadn’t abandoned the Creature.
