Chapter Sixteen

The only redeeming quality this drama offers for me is the second male character played by Roy Choi, other then that the storyline isn’t really that different from any other romcom melodrama. The main male lead’s character goes a bit to the extreme on being too much of an asshat for me to have any sort of likability later. 🤷‍♀️ I tried getting through this, but it was a chore to do so. Honestly I think I was in major second male lead syndrome. You’re either going to like it or hate it. I was in the later group.

Is this drama anywhere near perfect, no way far from it. It’s a cute cheesy, rather very predictable romcom that was made in 2010. Yes, I did cringe in a lot of places and thought the series should of been edited down (there’s 34 episodes) since it created a lot of unnecessary back and forth-ness, especially making the female lead’s character annoying. It eventually then turned on the heavy melodramatic plot towards the end which was not needed, but being an older drama I’ll let it slide. Nonetheless the drama still had its own unique charm which I appreciated. The kindergarten kids are adorable and the main leads have great chemistry together. I think if you’re a huge fan of romcoms you might not mind some of its faults and enjoy it more.
