President Donald Trump on Monday said he would consider using the Insurrection Act to deploy the military if federal courts prevented him from deploying the National Guard to protect federal buildings and conduct law enforcement operations.

The comments came a day after a federal judge blocked the president from sending National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, which Trump claims has been taken over by left-wing “domestic terrorists.”

The murder rate in NYC has hit a record low for the months January through April. By coincidence, Mayor Zohran Mamdani took office on January 1st. Just sayin'!

Violent crime in New York City remained at historically low levels through April, with the Bronx recording some of the steepest declines, the NYPD said Monday. Department leaders said they are hoping to build on that progress ahead of the summer, when crime typically spikes as more people gather outdoors. Police data released Monday shows the city had its fewest murders on record for the first four months of the year. That broke a record for the same four months set in 2018, which is widely regarded as one of the city’s lowest crime years since tracking began. Shooting victims and incidents are also down slightly so far since January of this year, the data shows. For April, gun violence fell by more than 18% compared to the same month last year.

Remember when MAGA morons and their stooges in rightwing media were predicting NYC would become a crime-infested hellhole if Mamdani were elected? Roughly the opposite is happening.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the crime declines are the result of a policing strategy focused on using data to remove illegal guns from the streets and dismantle violent gangs and criminal groups. “That approach is producing real, measurable crime reductions across the city, and it will continue to guide our work in the months ahead,” she said in a statement.

Brutal honesty: This ICE situation in Minnesota may be a defining moment for how the next 10 years look. Any weakness means fueling the worst domestic extremists.

Here’s what should be done:

• Invoke the insurrection act

• Military arrests rioters and politicians

• ICE triples presence and deports maximum # of illegals while DHS denaturalizes anyone who committed immigration fraud and deports them too

• Not one apology from the right for anything

This must be put down so thoroughly that the far left extremists can’t effectively recruit people in other left wing cities to replicate the chaos and criminal behavior. Draw a clear line. Now.

One of two things is going to be normalized:

1. Rioting and criminality at the behest of the Democrats who run blue states/cities.

Or

2. Law & order, compliance with ICE and clear lines we have in our country about crime.

For moderates who may feel uncomfortable by my prescribed course of action, consider that this is a binary choice because extremists only understand the language of power. Either you use it to draw lines or they will seize it and use it to hurt you.

Moderation in these moments isn’t possible. It’s only weakness masquerading as moral supremacy. You must be strong if you want a country worth a damn. You must be strong if you want order. You must be strong if you want peace.

This is reality. We have a binary choice: Strength or weakness. Crime or safety. Borders or open borders. Sanity or insanity.

Trump’s false Tuesday morning declaration after watching overheating commentary from Fox News’ Fox & Friends, which cited shootings over the weekend as evidence Chicago is a “war zone” and its elected leaders are sending the message that they “like the violence."

The president’s favorite TV show is helping to ease the country onto a glide path toward Trump’s authoritarian goal of putting troops on the ground in more U.S. cities.

Crime data analyst Jeff Asher reported Tuesday that while the scale of shootings and murders in Chicago represents a terrible toll inflicted on far too many city residents, “the available evidence suggests that Chicago has seen fewer shootings so far this year than any year since the mid-1960s.”
