Three things I learned Tuesday:
- Microwave ovens have fuses in them.
- Those fuses can be blown when the operator interrupts a cycle (i.e., by opening the door, instead of pushing the "STOP" button when a cup of coffee being warmed up starts boiling over).
- It's possible for a non-pro like me to replace a blown microwave fuse.
I owe this knowledge to YouTube - that trusty mentor that has led me through many a fix-it job.
The instructions were generic, but close enough to show me the way. A 50-cent standard 20A/120V Bussmann fuse put us back in business.

So on my way home from work I got the absolutely lovely event of blowing a fuse in my car and stalling it. While broken down (with hazard lights on) I was berated with car horns and knuckle dragging half wits expertly pointing out my car is blocking traffic.
So let this part be known and be used as a warning as I will come to your window and educate you that a blown fuse means car no go. And will kindly ask you to get the fuck out of my face before I decide to make some changes to yours.
