Blemmye Various species of mythical headless men were rumoured, in antiquity and later, to inhabit remote parts of the world. They are variously known as akephaloi (Greek ἀκέφαλοι 'headless ones') or Blemmyes (Latin: Blemmyae; Greek: βλέμμυες) and described as lacking a head, with their facial features on their chest. These were at first described as inhabitants of ancient Libya or the Nile system. Later traditions confined their habitat to a particular island in the Brisone River, or shifted it to India.

Weight: 250 pounds to 1 ton (adult), 30 to 120 (young)

Personality: Violent, heartless, and thoughtless. They are mindless brutes that terrorize anyone living near their nests, basic animal levels of intelligence; controlling them is difficult than a normal animal even given human meat it will not ease its violent nature

Abilities: Other than their natural inhuman strength and agility Akephalois have a thankfully limited range of abilities for monsters but are no less dangerous:

Smell of Death: No matter where they go a Akephaloi always smell like a hundred rotting corpses, this is due to how it reproduces as such being near a Akephaloi causes nausea to anyone 10 feet of it

Tunnel Earth: These beasts have large sharp claws that allows them to dig deep into the earth, cutting into stone and dirt with ease. They use their claws to create underground nests for them to live and to scourge for food, from both underground and on the surface, undisturbed

Killing Jaws: The jaws of Akephalois have thick powerful muscles and large shark-like teeth, allowing them to tear into stone as easy as flesh and tear it to bits

Akephalois are terrifying monsters that have faces on their chest with a taste for human flesh, the very nature of these monsters has terrified and fascinated occultists, monstrumologists, and the like for centuries. Some even going out of their way to capture Akephalois and moving them to secluded locations across the world in order to study them better, ll of which ending badly for anyone living near them and for the abductor. The Mystery Kids unfortunately encountered these beasts when graves from the Gravity Falls Cemetery were found defiled, at first by the undead but was later discovered to be a growing nest of Akephalois living underneath the cemetery after being brought over by a very newly dead wannabe monstrumologist in order to study how they would adapt to a colder climate.
