WORDS HAD PASSED IN A BLUR, and the world around was beginning to fade, fast. Pain bloomed where he'd been hit in the torso, feeling in his legs and hips had long been gone at this point. The life in lavender irises had long been gone as well, a dull purple taking place. The last thing that Kakyoin had heard were the cries of the SWF employees gathering around his now limp form, anguish coming from his left...or was it the right?
Blackness enveloped his vision, a weak breath had been given but he wasn't quite dead yet. This had given the workers a slight bit of hope, as well as Jotaro and his grandfather.
As soon as everyone had arrived at SWF facility, Jotaro, Joseph and Polnareff had been taken to separate rooms to be looked over, while Kakyoin had been wheeled off to an operating room. Of course, this had not gone without any sort of backlash from his dearest and closest friend, Asuka. This had caused uncertainty among the staff, but as things would have it Joseph had given the okay for the girl to provide help in the room. If anyone could see to it that the redhead was safe and alive by the end of all this; it was Asuka. That much was certain, and the elder Joestar put his trust in the girl from the get-go. Kakyoin had been like family to himself and Jotaro, that much could be seen and this was also his grandson's first real friend he'd had in so many years.
A lot of hope was riding on this.
Three hours ended up passing, and Kakyoin was still in the operating room fighting for his life. Word was said that the teen had stopped breathing for a few moments but resumed after being given assistance. The concern and fear were evident with Polnareff, losing someone he'd come to see as a brother was just not something he was will to accept. He'd already lost his sister Sherry, must he lose Kakyoin in all of this as well? The nerves and unease, the tension spreading from himself to the others as he limped around in the waiting room of the facility.
What must be running through Asuka's mind? She was dealing with this in person, helping in operating on their friend and fighting to save him. What time was it, anyways? Ocean blues glanced at the clock and the frenchman sighed, leaning over while placing his face in his hands. Not even nearly enough time, it seemed. But three hours had already come and gone. How many more would they have to wait to know of any sort of news on their cherry loving friend? Was he dead? Would he live? Would they ever get to hear his dorky trivia facts that he liked to spout out at times during moments when it seemed that things were just too...deep?
Sixteen hours had passed since then. Kakyoin had flatlined a few other times, but now was in stable condition for the time being. And this was just one surgery, there were plenty more that were going to be needed before he could be back to being himself. The nurses had wheeled the redhead out and down the hall, passing the three crusaders by so they could get the patient in to a room. All three sets of eyes turned upon the doors of the operating room as they opened, Polnareff jumping from his seat as the only girl of the group had appeared out into the hallway looking dead on her feet.
