I guess I'm just confused as to how people thought Bellamy was gonna be like? It's been 6 years and I know having a character develop so much behind camera is frustrating. Especially when you don't get to see them change, but realistically, his development is pretty to character. I don't understand the ooc comments. Did you expect him to be the same boy he was at 24? Hot headed and impulsive. He's 30 now and has spent 6 years trapped in space trying to keep everyone alive. Without knowing anything about his sister, who was his whole life. Thinking that the woman he loves is dead (I feel like now I can confidently say that) and the last thing she said to him was he needed to start leading with his head. That's gonna make a person grow up. He didn't want Clarke to die for nothing, so that's exactly what he did and continues to do. I love the Bellamy Blake character at any stage, maybe blindly so sometimes, I can admit. Yeah he has changed a lot, but he's still true to his core. He still loves Octavia, he still loves Clarke, and his people. He just goes about things differently. Although I love younger Bellamy, this older version I love just as much. He's not impulsive, he thinks clearly. He was willing to loose his sister, because he knew she was making a detrimental decision to the human race. When prior he let her physically and verbally abuse him, just because he loved her. Not saying this Bellamy doesn't love her, but he doesn't let her get away with things either.He stands up to her and I am so proud of him for that, mentally he's grown so much. He makes good leadership decisions using both head and heart, when before he saved children instead of a water solution, which I guess didn't really matter considering everything blew up. I just think he's more well rounded. Don't get me wrong I'll never get use to Echo and the beard (unpopular opinion Ik) but he's a better person and I think he's grown into the person he would have been. Also every character has changed A LOT I mean for Christs sake Octavia's smearing blood on her forehead like it's a daily skin routine and Abby be electrocuting people for her next fix. They've all changed, some for the better and some really not, but I'm understanding that there are somethings we haven't seen yet, that might change perception. I don't know, but I like discussion, so if you want to leave a comment why you think he's ooc I'd like to hear it. Discussions though, not arguments.
