During the breeding season, these orioles become masterful mimics, weaving the voices of other birds into their own songs. This mimicry may serve many purposes: to trick rivals into believing the territory is already claimed, to confuse predators that stray too near the nest, or perhaps simply to slip unnoticed into the larger chorus of the forest. Whatever the reason, their borrowed melodies ripple through the canopy, a reminder of how clever and adaptable the wild can be.
