What would the kits of a solid black molly and a red mackerel tabby tom (black based) with under 10% white look like? The molly doesn't carry any tabby genes.
hey its the solid black molly + red mackerel tabby tom ask !! i forgot to mention - molly is short hair, and the tabby is long hair! sorry ah
It’s no problem! If the molly carries the longhair gene, each kit has a 50/50 chance of being longhaired vs. shorthaired. Otherwise, every kit will be shorthaired.
The male kits will all be black/brown, the female kits will all be torties.
If both parents carry dilute, each kit will have a 25% chance of being dilute (black/brown > grey, tortie > blue-cream tortie). Otherwise, none of the kits will be dilute.
Solid cats can’t carry the gene that makes a cat a tabby, since that gene (the agouti gene) is dominant. There are other genes that affect tabby patterns that a solid cat would have regardless of whether they’re expressed or not, but if they’re not relevant I assume they’re the most common variety, a mackerel tabby.
What does matter is if the tom carries solid. If he does, each kit will have a 50/50 chance of being solid vs. mackerel tabby. If he doesn’t, every kit will be a mackerel tabby.
Each kit will have a 50% chance of having some white spotting (anywhere from 0-60%) and a 50% chance of having none at all.

What would the kits of a black longhaired she-cat and a longhaired gray mackerel tabby tom (carrying classic) and with 40% white be? Could they possibly have a longhaired gray mackerel tabby tom with 30% white?
Yes, that’s totally possible. The black she-cat needs to carry dilute, but that’s really the only thing necessary to make this possible.
Their other options for kits are brown tabbies and, if the tom carries solid, solid black cats and solid grey cats. About half their kits will have no white and about half will have a similar amount of white to the toms.
What kits could a heterogeneous shorthair dark brown tabby tom with a white chin, toes, throat, and tail tip have if he mated with a homogenous shorthaired black molly with white paws and belly. The tom carries solid.
Brown tabbies and black kitties!
Half will have less than 50% white on them, a fourth more than 50% white, and the final fourth none at all.

What kind of kits could a dark gray tom with semi-long fur have if he mated with a black molly that has a white van pattern?

What kits could a brown tabby tom homogeneous shorthair with a white belly and a black molly homogeneous shorthair with no white have? The tom carries solid.
Black kits and brown tabby kits. Half will have less than 50% white like the father.

What would the kits of a shorthaired bicolour mommy, who has yellow eyes and carries dilute, and a shorthaired dark grey dad who has amber eyes, and some white spotting(paws, throat, chin, belly)?
Black kits and gray kits! Half will have less than 50% white, a foruth more than 50% white, and the final fourth no white at all. :3
Thanks for your patience!
