the fact that Babe is even willing to do his hair for him sobers him a bit. it makes him emotional if he thinks about it too hard, especially because he knows that his hair texture isn't always the "easiest" to work with

if Babe is also black, it's an experience that the two of them bond over, and it's more filled with teasing and laughter to sooth his hair anxiety

if Babe isn't black, they are overly gentle with him, to the point where he calls them out for it at some point. it's not that he doesn't appreciate it, oh he definitely does but he doesn't want them to be afraid of working with his hair or of hurting him. he may be sensitive, but it has nothing to do with Babe at all.

in both cases, the best way to calm him down is by putting a show that he loves on the tv, getting him sat on the floor between their legs ("duhhhh so i have access to your amazing thighs" - asher)

this is actually the best time to get him to do something with his hands, like untangling jewerly or folding laundry. something about needing the distraction. it totally has nothing to do with the adhd whatever do you mean

as for his hair texture, it was 4B when he was a baby, but him fucking with it as a teenager has relaxed it a bit, so it sits closer to a 4A

he has never cut it willingly. it means a lot to him, and he fully intends on keeping it as long as he can

so why out of all colors he chose blond to be his secondary color when he has the darkest brown hair you've ever seen, Babe will never know

he doesn't really know why he wanted it this color combo specifically, he just thought it fit and now he can't imagine himself without it

he's never actually dyed it himself. milo has helped him every time, before asher got with Babe. david would help but he can't stand the smell and complained about it stinking the apartment up every. single. time.

the positions of the blond parts aren't always consistant, and if he hates it, he dyes his whole head back to his natural color for like a week before trying again

he doesn't like being seen in that way so he tends to wear headscarves and bonnets out the most during this (though the entire pack can tell when that happens they just don't mention it out of respect)

asher would keep it in natural locs if he could commit to a style. so he tends to go for faux locs, cornrows, twists, or just leaving his curls out

he loves putting his hair up in a ponytail ("it makes me feel pretty :3" he says, while flexing his muscles)

though he also likes wearing bandanas, the most when his new growth is coming in or if he thinks it matches the outfit

he will often match its color to Babe's accessories because it makes him feel "romantical"

he doesn't often put other accessories in his hair but he isn't opposed to it (yes he would be a girldad and yes he would let that little girl treat him like a barbie doll)

ah, also forgot to mention. my headcanon for asher having blond and dark brown hair is because it was a way for him to cope with his vitiligo. he's lying about it being based on oreos or vibes alone, but he doesn't want to get into Feelings whenever people ask casually. however, eventually he explained it to Babe, David, and Milo once, so they understand. he does not have the best relationship with his body once he started developing it, but he is working on it, so this is his way of coping.
