This is probably going to make some people mad at me, but with this year’s GMMTV company outing finishing up, I’ve once again seen people (mostly on the cesspool that is Twitter, why are we still using that!?) legit stalking photos that GMMTV artists are posting to see if they can find Ohm and Nanon interacting or even standing somewhat near one another in the background.

So I say from all the sane fans, please for the love of all things holy and demonic, leave these poor men alone!

Look, we get it, you liked Bad Buddy. Hell, I liked Bad Buddy! Was it groundbreaking or original? No, it was Romeo and Juliet, just with a happier ending. Don’t believe me? It is literally a modern gay retelling of the play, I studied Shakespeare for seven years in arts school, I will lay it all out for you if you want.

Anyway, the point being is that Nanon decided to try out a BL, it did well, but he didn’t want to get pigeonholed. Plus all the bts stuff that happened afterwards with their manager, the theft and the lawsuit, it was just a lot for two young guys to deal with. It was also no secret that they butted heads a lot, they are okay friends and have worked hard to try and get to a point where they are once again comfortable being around one another outside of a professional setting.

They’re finally at the point that their friends are allowed to once again tease them, such as at Starlympics 2024 when they faced off during the soccer match and Off started chanting their names and squealing, getting everyone else to play along. That was funny and playful and most importantly; allowed. Because they were in on the joke and it was being done by their friends who got the whole stadium to join in, even the MCs played along.

But to be perfectly frank, the hardcore OhmNanon fandom has literally stalled both of their careers. Nanon is managing to get his footing back by focusing mostly on his music now, but Ohm has always loved acting and has been in the industry since he was a young teenager. He’s been working in BLs since 2016! He’s had multiple acting partners before Nanon, including Singto and First! He’s also been paired with Toey and Nont, in fact Toey was his original first ever BL partner.

Then OhmLeng happened and they worked, they worked really well in fact. They had known each other from outside of the industry and got along, they were comfortable with one another and their series did decently well, their onscreen chemistry fantastic. They had the making of another great pairing with two more series slated for them, what ended their partnership wasn’t anything between them, it was the fans. Delusional OhmNanon fans threatening Leng, hurling insults at them and even going to far as to stalk them both and telling Ohm that they would show up at his house and murder his dogs if he continued to work with Leng!

Think about how insane that is!

You wanna know what else is insane, and just down right disgustingly rude? So called ‘fans’ taking pictures from Perth’s father’s funeral and using photoshop to make it so that Ohm and Nanon were sitting next to each other.

THIS WAS A MAN’S FUNERAL!

They were there for their friend, Perth is very close to both of them, they showed up to support him during a terrible time in his life and the fans made it about shipping. Although at this point I don’t know how anyone who does the things they do to Ohm and Nanon can even call themselves fans anymore.

But now post GMMTV Outing people on one side of the fence are speculating about a possible new pairing for Ohm due to him hanging out with some of the newcomers at GMMTV, whilst on the other side of the fence the OhnNanon weirdos are flipping out because they were seen standing near one another in the blurry background of a picture at the company dinner.

I don’t understand how people can claim to love them so much, yet in the same breath actively work to ruin their careers because they’re not doing what the creepy stalking fans wants.

Sigh, basically what I’m just saying is please leave these young men alone. This type of obsessive behaviour oftentimes leads to dangerous consequences, I’m old enough to remember watching a man shoot himself in the head while the police rushed to intercept a bomb that was on its way to kill his favourite celebrity, I have seen how terrible this level of stupidity can get.

The threats of violence and intimidation will only get worse until total escalation happens, and really with what’s been going on in the QL world in recent years—threats of Nunew’s life, Zee’s cyber stalking case, Zi Yu’s physical assault in the Hong Kong airport, Louis Chiang pulling out of all appearances because fans attacking his GF, people refusing to accept actors and actresses sexualities and/or relationships because it doesn’t fit into their weird fantasies—the chances of escalation is not such a leap anymore.

quick roundup: Ayden was in mainland China with Sitong, but was called back home in Singapore for work, but decided to stay at last minute (a friend who he was supposed to travel with posted their surprise at his absence at the airplane). Apparently he had unfinished business to deal with Elio, and were caught in what seems a heated conversation by fanatics (the infamous sasaengs).

Ayden, who is chronically online, saw the conversation happening within the fandom — apparently they have CP fans and Solo fans, both types hate each other — and decided to clear the air while telling the more hot-headed to cool it down "Back to work, be back soon. Don't get crazy, don't worry about it (But what you guys made up is really funny) We're fine." he posted on his Instastory.

Last week, 'Little Pillows' (their fandom name) were in a ridiculous fanwar with the Desire fandom over a color (yes, you read that right, they were fighting over the color orange)...

I wouldn't pay them much mind, if not for the horrible scenes they have caused such as the day they mobbed the duo and gave Elio a panic attack, the day they nearly trampled Elio had not been for Ayden intervening and now this last invasion of privacy.

This isn’t going to be a regular type of post on this blog but I do find it very tiring to constantly see non fans and fans a like have such an entitlement to these actors that they think they have the right to demand the artist lavish them with special attention at their work events. Even if you were paying for a hi-touch or photo op, the artist can not solely focus on you for a long duration of time, there are other people who also paid. But especially when you choose to show up outside of the venues an artist is having a brand event at where fans were not invited, the absolute audacity to come online a bash an artist over them not greeting you personally is both confounding and bordering enraging to me.
