Bill x Beverly Kiss Scene
Okay, so even in the theatre when I watched It for the first time, this scene felt weird to me. I don't hate Billverly (is that their ship name??? I think so lol) despite common opinion but I suggest if you ship them, please skip this post
Or read it, idk I'm not your mom.
So the first time I knew was in the theatre that it felt weird. Bill isn't this,,,, blunt (?) With his feelings and that's especially apparent in this remake but this is so confident and sudden. Bill allows himself a friendship with Beverly and only glances at her for a moment too long - never expecting something so blatant and so much from her but here, it's sort of like he did.
It left a sore taste in my mouth as I was leaving the theatre and actually a dislike of Bill, honestly.
And then I read the book, watched the miniseries and rewatched the movie - and wow, I loved Bill. (I STILL DO, MY SOFT BOY THANKS) but this scene still felt so out of place to me, and for a moment, I figured it was just out of character things that happen. Okay, whatever.
And then I was talking with a friend irl and we watched the clip without him watching the movie and he said to me, "It's out of desperation." AND JUST SHRUGS BUT I WAS LIKE, WH AT???
And I figured he meant that Bill was desperate for Beverly after all of this but then he simply explained to me, "You said Flannel Boy lost his brother to Pennywise and then his parents ignored him, right?" "Yeah?" "He's scared to be left again. He's giving himself to her in a way he thinks she wants him to convince her to stay."
AND W O W THAT IS NOT HOW I CAN UNSEE THE BIVERLY KISS SCENE AS BILL TRYING TO CONVINCE HER TO STAY AND GIVING PART OF HIMSELF TO HER TO NOT LOSE SOMEONE ELSE AIDBWKDNAO
I relate to Bill Denbrough in the sense that I too am in love with Beverly Marsh and Stanley Uris
"he thrusts his fists against the posts, and still insists he sees the ghosts.”
(happy 15th birthday to my sunshine)
foreshadowing at its finest

Psst, stop denying Bill's feelings for Beverly.
So I watched IT...
And people stan Henry Bowers. Like what the fuck... a rough childhood doesn't excuse anything he's done. It's the oldest cliché of the book - rough childhood equals bully. Belevery didn't go around being horrible to people... But he wasn't just a bully. He tormented everyone. He was a little psycho. Hell, if it was set in 2017 he'd be a school shooter. He's a literal murderer.
But what am I saying... people stanning psycho Henry is no different to these crazy fangirls jerking off to Pennywise.
Don't get me wrong. The actor is genuinely nice and talented guy who has a bright future in acting. But the character? He's a psychopath.
