Session 6 made me realize something.
So, I only got into the hermitcraft/Life series side of MCYT around the end of HC season 7, with 3rd life. I was mainly watching Grian for a good while, and thus, didn't start watching Etho until fairly recently (lastlife)
I don't see him often, rarely ever alone. And while I know what kind of player he is by hearing it, reading it, I had yet to see it.
From all I knew, Etho is mainly this dorky wierd guy. Which he is! He is!
But this session made me truly comprehend how capable he is. With his Warden operation. I remember Tango in double life getting the Warden, remember him doing Warden stuff for decked out, all that.
But seeing Etho do it seemes, somehow, so easy. And for the first time I think I fully understood that he is an absolute veteran. That he knows this game inside out.
So yeah Etho is pretty cool :)

Yk what I just realized? I wish I could write Grian as a villain. Because he *is*
No matter where, if there's conflict, Grian is the villain.
Turf war? Villain against a very reasonable thing that he even ended up agreeing with I'm the end, saying it was just for the principle.
3rd life? Watch Martyns pov and try to tell me again he isn't the villain.
Last life? Killed off 2 of his own team members just because. Right after the other.
Double life? Followed and expanded on the chaos that Scar brought on. (This one is imo the least villain behaviour he has ever shown in conflict)
Prank war vs doc? He escalated that. Docs prank were all small scale, and grian escalated. More and more and more.
Lim life? Do I even have to explain this?
Grian is the villain, he *enjoys* being the villain.
And yet, I can't write him as such because he's a skrunkly and I love writing tragic heroes.

Something about Joel SmallishBeans and Jimmy Solidarity existing just makes my brain go feral with wanting to throw them into incredibly angsty Distopian / post apocalyptic AUs with lots of hurt/no comfort and even more sad endings and especially Major Character Death. Like I don't know what it is they are just made to suffer in my writing

We've heard about canary!Jimmy. We all know the tale, tha canary in a coal mine, his death means danger is near. Sure, great analogy, super fitting BUT

Picture it. Died first, is now tasked with protecting all those who die in that world from evil. Its not as Canon representative as the canary, sure, but it so much more healing.
