COUGHING. every so often it sneaks up on him. can't seem to shake the smoke that still seems to reign inside. even if has been a little awhile since he crawled out of their underground sanctuary. he did not make it. mike & richie outlast him. had to come to their rescue. what they had seen, bill could not comprehend. he could try but there was something forbidden about being the one to see ' it ' fall. fall to their world. perhaps that is why he was not of the pair to see what lies beneath derry's origins. not meant for him. even so it doesn't take much to know that the seven is way out of their depths. another cough. he covers his mouth on a plaid sleeve. " who wuld-wouldn't b-b-be ?" an answer to a question with question of his own. anyone else would be way over their heads too. not just the lucky seven. " ih-it's w-w-worth a sh-sh-shot isn't it ?"

@birdtrauma  ..  character development. 

i.  not going out the one stormy day within autumn.   /   during the months of 1957,  before everyone starts forgetting everything  ..  bill will often reply those memories.   rework those memories to appeases his mind.   various scenarios featuring him  :  saving the day.   he’s haunted with the memories as well.   replaying how georgie must have felt.   replaying the divot of guilt nestled between bone marrow.   especially,  once it’s confirmed that georgie is dead. 

ii.  not loving georgie enough.   /   despite the denbroughs being practically inseparable   ..   bill strays and strains over not going to the park that ONE day with georgie.   not taking georgie to the fair that ONE day.   skipping one movie night to hangout with richie.   or getting ice cream with eddie when georgie was sick.   which this will lead into probably one of bill’s BIGGEST regrets  .. 

iii.  not trying hard enough.   /   this factors into many different scenarios.   not trying hard enough to protect his brother.   not trying hard enough to grasp parental attention.   not trying hard enough to fight for georgie’s memory.   not trying hard enough to maintain his composure.   not trying hard enough be become his own anchor.   not trying hard enough to figure out what’d happened to georgie.   not trying hard enough once he’d encountered it.   not trying hard enough to defeat it.   not trying hard enough to fight.   not trying hard enough to protect his friends.   not trying hard enough to appease his friends.   not trying hard enough to make them happy.   but most of all  ..  not trying hard enough to save everyone,  including himself.  &  by that definition,  not everyone is just physically damned. emotional damage  ..  which he only believes is his doing. 

mermaid- tag someone who is a positive influence on you @birdtrauma & @identies. i don’t think leah gets enough credit. not only did she bring us a perfect portrayal of mike hanlon & her wonderfully fascinating oc gloria, but she all does so much for this fandom as a whole. she brings so much positivity to this fandom! we owe her a lot for bringing smiles to all of us losers & clowns. 

unicorn-tag someone who is so good, so pure @abrastcne. i’ve only talked to eve a few times but each time she has been an absolute sweetheart. but the pure sweetness is not just directed to me but to other’s well. i see eve on my dash i see someone who is kind to who all they encounter. such a bright presence!
