Der Madagaskarweber 🐦 ist der häufigste Vogel Madagaskars 🇲🇬. Die Männchen des Madagaskarwebers fallen während der Brutzeit durch ihr rotes Gefieder auf. In der übrigen Zeit sehen sie den Weibchen und Jungvögeln sehr ähnlich. Dann sind die Vögel für den flüchtigen Betrachter leicht mit unseren "Spatzen" (Haussperlingen) zu verwechseln. Während der Brutzeit lebt der #Madagaskarweber paarweise, in der übrigen Zeit in grösseren Gruppen von bis zu mehreren hundert Tieren. Der Madagaskarweber bewohnt auch völlig entwaldete Gebiete, in Savannen und in Gärten und Parks.
