thoughts on the dceu!!
Synderâs DCEU or wbâs desire to hit the reset button /on/ the DCEU (đđđđđđ)???
Lemme start by saying the DCEU is *chef kiss* P E R F E C T I O N (before wb readies their Death Starâs Superlaser and zaps it into nothingness in the name of moving forward with MCU 2.0 :/). And has been since June 14, 2013, when creator Zack Snyder graced us with Man of Steel. Coming from someone whoâs loved DC Comics, the Batman (B*rt*nâs and N*l*nâs) and Superman (late 70s - 80s and â06) films, and Wonder Woman, thereâs really nothing negative I have to say about the Extended Universe. Though I wish S*ic*de Sq*ad had never happened and J*st*ce L*ag*e wasnât handed to someone else to âreviseâ and âimproveâ it. Both horribly-made films by sexist pigs that were a complete waste of time (Justice League: Snyder Cut WHEN?!?!!?!?!?!). But we wouldnât have Birds of Prey nor Dinah Lance(!!!) today if that atrocious excuse of a movie didnât exist, so Iâll bite the bullet on that and move on.
As for WB wanting to snip-snip the DCEU we all know and love, cause they wanna imitate than STAND OUT (letâs see how far their plan of action will take them), I fucking hate it. I hate that they were looking at this as some sort of competition against the MCU this whole time and will continue to do REGARDLESS. So that being said, I donât think /their/ DCEU will last as long as Snyderâs has. I say âhasâ because, as long as G*l G*dot dons the Wonder Woman armor, and J*son M*moa continues portraying Arthur Curry/Aquaman, his universe lives one.Â
