I found this poor injured #hummingbird right outside my window at work. I scooped her up so she wouldn't get stepped on. She was panting and blinking her eye. I think she hit a window. I've seen stunned birds in worse condition than she was suddenly recover and fly off. So I found a box and brought her to my desk. Attempted to give her some water and used my sweater to keep her warm. About an hour later she was moving her wings and head. I had high hopes so I took her back outside and set her gently in the bushes outside my window so I could keep an eye on her. I watched as she moved her head more and flapped her wings vigorously a few times. Unfortunately, when I went to check on her after a meeting she had already passed and the ants had already moved in.
