Apparently replying to a reply is not a thing.
Or I'm just blind.
Either way:
I TAKE YOU TO MY BEDROOM, ELIOT. THIS IS A NICE PLACE. IN WHICH YOU DO HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE THINGS TO ME.
But it is still a nice place. So there.

Hey! Excuse my randomness, I was linked here by one of your followers, in regards to my own relationship with a cisguy. I'm ftm, transitioning. I've already broached the 'gon be a dude now k' with mine, and he's a pillar of support, he's amazing, I need him. I'd really like to know if there's anything that you would ask or phrase differently, as if you had to go back and 'come out' to him again? Any advice for the relationship fears during a fledgling transition? <3
I think the best thing to do is to slowly introduce information on the topic and give him time to process things. Most people don’t know what transgender really is and have a bunch of negative stereotypes and conceptions floating around in their heads. The topic of “I need surgery and hormones” is a hard one for many reasons, especially in that it make things feel more real. This was the point at which M realized that I wasn't just being quirky or trying on a new image, but that this was permanent and long term.
There much I would change. I think that the outcome I had was largely based on M’s sexuality. If he had been exclusively straight without flexibility, we wouldn’t have lasted. It would have been for the best in the long run because it would have been very draining to try to make things work if he wasn’t sexually attracted to me. It’s very important to remember through all of this that it is paramount to ultimately be loved for who you are rather than someone you’re trying to be to make others happy.
The only thing I can think of is trying to better express the seriousness and gravity of what I was feeling and why I needed to transition. I don’t think he understood it was a life and death thing for me up front.
Does this help? Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.

HELLO, DEES EES BIRDLINE!
*waves enthusiastically like a moron*
Also - I forgot to give you the lasagne dish AGAIN. AAAAARGH.
So remember I told you all that I had applied to adopt/foster a quaker named Chip? Well I finally had someone get back to me :D The interview went really well and the lady I spoke to was very friendly! Hopefully I pass this part of the process to get a house check and then HOPEFULLY be accepted to bring him home :) Obviously it's not set in stone, I should hear back from them in around 2 weeks to find out if i'm successful for a house check and what-not. I'm really excited though >3 He sounds absolutely adorable! And I just want to help give a little bird a good home :) Obviously I will keep everyone updated!! Hernonymous x
