Ah, I see. The real point of this episode (from an fs perspective) was to get Fitz to accept that he and Simmons can fight fate. From the start of the episode, the second that changing the future is mentioned, Fitz shuts them down. He says nope, not gonna happen, because I’ve already tried that. (I’m very happy with the writers for not only remembering the “cosmos” thing but for using it thematically.) And yet, by the episode’s end, the future had been changed. And Simmons was the first to point it out. Simmons took his hand. Fitz has lost hope because of 3A but Simmons has showed us that she is ready to give it back to him.
