(OFC I want to!!) @birbcoopHector jumped in surprise as warm, slim arms wrapped around his waist, but quickly calmed down when a familiar stubbled cheek rubbed against his neck and the smell of cinnamon and spun sugar assaulted his nose. “Watcha makin’?”

Hector tried not to smile. “Gareth will kill you if he finds you in the kitchen.”

“I know...” A light, ticklish feeling as Eugene sighs against his neck. “But I missed you. You’ve both been cooking all day! Aren’t you tired? Don’t you want to give your feet a rest? M-maybe a cuddle?”

Hector stirred the potatoes on the stove, not because he had to quite yet, but just for something to do. “Can’t. I need to watch these potatoes while Gareth picks up the kids from school.” 

“Okay. Well, I’ll just stay with you too.” Eugene hummed to a Christmas song on the radio and before Hector knew it, he was turned around. They swayed to the music silently, Eugene’s chin resting atop his head, and Hector’s face pressed to his chest.

“You’re buttering me up for pecan pie.” he accused, face muffled by Eugene’s shirt.

“Good sir, I am insulted!” Eugene laughed and spun them, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. “...It’s three O’clock...usually when you’re home we snuggle and watch TV at this time.” Eugene’s voice got quiet. “I got lonely..”

There was a moment of silence before Hector got on his tippy-toes to press a kiss to the mortician’s lips.”I-” Something hit his nose, and it wasn’t cinnamon or spun sugar.
