Also, the binks brew song, it just melts me. I feel like every crew that shares this song, resonates with it so beautifully. I couldn't help but keep smiling, with the way they unravel their journey, with this song they sing, and dance around. It's beautiful, and it has a huge piece of my heart.

Episodes 962-972

Nope. That'd be too easy. Fuckin' Septic Arthritis. Basically, an infection that got into the joint of my damn ankle causing severe pain.

So on Thursday, I got emergent surgery (that's what my roommate, who works in a hospital, is calling it) to flush all the fluid and infection out of my ankle.

Neat. Cool. I came out from under anesthesia humming fuckin' Binks's Brew from One Piece. Love that song.

Friday was a pretty chill day in the hospital. Did not sleep Friday night except for about an hour.

Saturday was less chill. Managed to get a half shower though, thankfully, and Roomie stopped by and dropped off my tablet and visited for a bit. That was greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the woman I'm sharing a room with can barely hear, and is very loud when talking. There's also a woman in the room next to mine with, I'm assuming, some form of dementia, who is very scared and also combative. I feel bad for both women, but man I wish I could sleep. I've got my earbuds in and music up fairly loud, and I can still hear them both. (I have compassion, but compassion has limits.)

I'm hoping to be discharged Monday. I need physio to clear me for stair usage first, and also arrange for equipment rental (I may be needing a walker or crutch or cane or something for awhile).
