Another school project. We read the book Geek Love by Katherine Dunn in one of my classes, so for my final project, I decided to recreate Oly's poster of Chick as the strongman. I went a little farther with the presentation though, printing out the poster and aging it into what Olympia might have actually had in her closet (staining it, giving it creased folds, even burning it) so that when holding it, you felt like you were holding an actual artifact from the book. It was fun, I'd love to do more art where I age it like this (why was it so satisfying to burn my art?) I really like this poster, I might end up selling it. The clean version I mean, I gave the aged one to my teacher since Geek Love is one of her favorite books.
