H: How long have you been writing?
oh gosh for as long as I remember. Iāve literally been writing shit since before I even learned how to write. I would scribble and doodle and try to remember the storyline Iād thought up. I had notebooks full of scribbles that didnāt even remotely resemble letters, but that I insisted was aĀ āsecret languageā that only i knew (spoiler alert: no i did not, i just wanted to write shit)I was a weird child :ā)
M: How do you feel when somebody gives harsh yet constructive criticism?
grateful, most of the time. I mean sure, it can hit me hard sometimes and I might have to cheer myself up with cute otter pictures or something, but if itās truly constructive and not just a list of things that were terrible about my writing, then Iāll be grateful for the learning opportunity.
T: Whatās your favorite part of the writing process? Ā Why?
coming up with the initial idea. headcanons are also a big fave. Itās just the most free I will feel during the writing process, when itās all just about fun (or angst cause letās be real) and creative ideas. this is probably also why iām terrible at actually finishing shit lol
U: Whatās your least favorite part of the writing process? Ā Why?
that inevitable moment when i get stuck and i feel like a failure. thereās always a moment, sometimes itās early on, sometimes itās weeks or months into writing something. When I find that I cannot write the idea I had the way I thought of it. with some luck I manage to get through that rut, sometimes even surprising myself with finding new, creative ways for the idea to work. but yeah, thatās definitely the worst part.
