The Outlaws - Billy Jones
“It’s one thing to be bisexual and quite another to live as a bisexual person, to make that space in the world for yourself every day, to consciously work to blend those feelings and relationships. It’s a real charge… when I can do it.”
- Billy Jones, Bi Any Other Name: Bisexual People Speak Out
Those Were The Days
Sounding like my father did when I was a teen, today’s music sucks and it was so much better, back in the day. For me, “back in the day” centered around several bands, one of them being The Outlaws, also known as “The Florida Guitar Army”. The video below was shot on July 27, 2007, (after, back in the day) less than 2 months before the death of founder, Hughie Thomasson on September 9, 2007 at…

VIDEO: Oscar Harris & Billy Jones & The Twinkle Stars - I’ve Been Trying (Blue Elephant)
wrt. Curtis Mayfield, 1972.
Not that I don't like Jack or anything and I love where the story is going so far but are we going to be seeing anymore of Calliope and Billie or are they just background characters now? I thought they were important in the beginning and now they're just gone? Keep up the great work btw
Calliope and Billy who?
Nah, I joke. Calliope never really goes away... in fact if she isn't outright in a chapter she's at least mentioned by name in every chapter except *checks notes* chapter 6 and the upcoming chapter 15.
Although, I will say I'm definitely not utilizing her as much as I thought I would when I first started the story. She still plays an important role though and she's actually set to make her triumphant "return" in chapter 18 (assuming chapter 17 plays out like I hope it will *side eyes my open word document and shakes my fist*)
Billy the kid, on the other hand has always sort of been a background character. Still a person of great importance in Y/N's life, somewhat of a younger sibling figure, but ultimately just a background character. Sorry if you got attached! I don't have a lot of plans for the kid.
Thanks for the ask! And thanks for caring about the OCs in this story! (A lot of times people really just don't like OCs in general)
