I wanted to keep everything we know here on this post. If you have no idea what’s going on, I’ll get you started. I will update this post if there is anything new. Please let me know if anything’s missing :)

A while ago Bon Iver posted a video on Instagram of a snippet of a track they’re working on, and Taylor was singing on it. You can find that here. Obviously everyone freaked out but we didn’t know if it was going to be released, if it was going to be scrapped or what kind of a project it was. 

If you didn’t know, Aaron Dessner (The National) and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) have a band called Big Red Machine (not to be confused with the Big Machine Records lol). Yesterday on June 27th they posted on Instagram a video which shows Taylor writing lyrics. The exciting part is that the lyrics match what Taylor was singing in the first snippet. We are guessing the track is called “How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last”

They also posted a website in which there are three countdowns that end on June 29th 3 pm GMT, June 30th 3 pm GMT, and July 2nd 5 am GMT (Which is when Taylor and most artist have been releasing songs or albums for the past few years.)

A few things that I’ve picked up on are how they all posted about it and tagged most people that worked on it but nobody tagged Taylor or mentioned her. However, everyone tagged follows Taylor which made me think they know her despite not having worked with her before this.

Also, a while ago in October 2020, Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon posted a song they wrote with Anais Mitchell, called “Latter Days” and the line “how long do you think it’s gonna last” appears in it. Very coincidentally (lol) Anais Mitchell posted about this new project that I’m just going to shorten to HLDYTIGL. Taylor retweeted their post about Latter Days too, to show support, which makes me think that all of these are somehow connected.
