Connie is older, she's more experienced. She was in love before, but is now divorced. It's unfortunate, but it happens. She wasn't prepared for these feelings that she has for BigHud so she allowed herself to love quietly and with more preservation. He's so much younger than her, after all. Connie isn't sure she should have these feelings. But as she and BigHud got closer, the more she wanted to protect it. Connie's love for BigHud was slow and steady. She allowed herself to grow into that love, saw how it shaped, how it evolved, and swore to to keep it safe.

BigHud, on the other hand, is much younger. He's probably fooled around a little bit, had a few casual flings, but nothing compared to Connie. When he realized he was falling in love it hit him like a freight train. It was so sudden and new, and it was so exciting. He had never felt this way about anyone before! This, this is love! He is so absolutely in love with Connie that he doesn't know what to do. But he's willing to put in the work for her, he's going to show her just how much she means to him. BigHud is so loud about his love for Connie. He wants her to see how much she means to him, that he can't help just how fast he's falling.

And when they're together something so beautiful and magical happens. The whole office can see just how wonderfully they balance each other out. Their love is so pure and so sweet. They understand one another, they move to the same beat. What they have is so special. They would do everything to keep what they have.
