Here’s the solo debut from Eui Jin who you probably know from the project group UNB and from Bigflo.

Euijin (Bigflo, previously of A.cian) – ENFJ

Cognitive Functional Stack – Fe Ni Se Ti

Euijin is a sweetie and a considered performer who essentially came out of nowhere and conquered a nation’s heart.  His warmth and genuine smile charm everyone who comes across him, but it doesn’t stop there – his personality matches too, since he is always considerate and quietly looking out for others (Fe).  A good example of how he notices others and their feelings is in the second results reveal, when 9th position is between Jeup and Hansol.  Jeup ends up winning 9th place, and as everyone else rushes to congratulate Jeup, Euijin is the only one who pats and congratulates Hansol (Fe-Ni).

He’s totally focused on group dynamics and a sense of “we” in each team he’s in.  The team that he picks for 4th mission revolves heavily around a pre-established friendship group that he’s already seen in action – that of Daewon, Lee Geon, and Jungha.  Whether this was of his own choosing, or from having suggestions from Lee Geon whispered in his ear doesn’t matter – he was still doing it so that his team would be happy and comfortable with each other (Fe).

His Fe also means that he responds well to praise – however, his team-mindedness means that he enjoys dishing praise on his teammates too.  For instance, when the Question team were praised for their extra choreo, and the choreographer asked if it was Euijin’s doing, he responded that the whole team had helped.  However, when he is slated at something, he is careful to take full responsibility to try his best to make things better for the whole group.  Nonetheless, he doesn’t bother burdening his friends or teammates with descriptions of his feelings unless he feels there’s something to be gained or some progress to be made from it, and even then he doesn’t usually elaborate much.  He loves to see his teammates laughing and stress-free.

His quarrelling with Seyong over the Heartbeat choreo formations stemmed from the fact that he thought there were some really bizarre position changes happening for a few different people during the dance – he’d been looking at the individuals whereas Seyong had just been looking at the big picture and overall effect of the choreo. He stated that he was worried that it was making some people who were already tired even more so (Fe).  When referring to the quarrel later, he describes himself as “a bit upset”, showing that he is ready to outwardly acknowledge his feelings without much effort (Fe).  He also describes his dancing as being “good at playing the mood” (Fe – Se) which is unlike Seyong who’s dancing is more disciplined.

His Ni can be seen in how he expresses many opinions with certainty.  He has a very straightforward way of talking, and accepts things in order to continue on his path.  “We have much to talk about,” he says to Seyong, assuming that Seyong agrees. “Seyong is kind of greedy” (Ni-Se?). But in spite mutually apologising with Seyong over the incident, he brings it up again in order to express that he was still hurt by the way Seyong spoke to him at the time (Fe wants to resolve quarrels with no misunderstandings and will even put painful things out in the open to finish them).

I wondered if Euijin had Ni or Si for a while.  However, it’s clear that Euijin holds no grudges with Seyong – or anyone else – by how willingly Euijin looks after him after their performance when Seyong’s leg is still injured, and how they are really friendly with each other in subsequent episodes.  I think this suggests Ni – Se moving on as opposed to Si.  I also reckon that Euijin doesn’t use Si since he actually struggled to remember the choreo for the first mission after one day, when other less skilled dancers were able to.  He perfects his choreo through lots and lots of practise and through being a natural dancer, but there’s no automatic Si there to help him remember the moves.

His Ni also is expressed in his firm belief that he should still be the centre of blue team in the first mission, even though he messed up the interim evaluation.  “I just need to be”, he says.  He’s also very intuitive about the needs of all his team members.  

Much like his namesake on the female side of the competition, Euijin is a warm and welcoming ray of sunshine in the middle of a bleak and brutal competition.  This is why he is popular, and this is why he’s an ENFJ.
