He takes in her appearance with an internal grimace. Damn, why had he assumed she'd been able to handle it instead of hurrying quicker to the floor? Granted, he had decided to investigate when his own floor trembled...

"I don't think there was too much damage, it wasn't out long enough to cause anything major." Roland steals a glance around the battlefield. "I hope."

The cosmic contender was indeed protesting too much. It was selfish of Rex to deny Angela now: She was plenty capable, she had shared much of her own library with him. And typically one so enthused at exploring, suddenly Rex's attitude to exploring Delta Bay beyond the confines of his immediate neighborhood lead to an unfavorable reaction. One that even his local fellows would have considered uncharacteristic.

So he let off a long sigh.

"... Alright, alright. But there might still be tension out there. You know those stories I tell ya about how I get into a fracas or some other mess? Well. Could happen in real-time, now. I'm talkin' a front row seat."

There was much about his 'neck of the woods' that he wanted to show and share with Angela. Living his life in total caution would do no favors, least of all to try and impose it upon another. Those were the feelings people waged a never-ending battle against, so they could truly live their lives. Chase their dreams. All that jazz.

"What would having obscure knowledge defend me from?" the android asked.

They supposed the answer to that would depend on what sort of knowledge it was that the other was thinking of. It might not even be something that Fivemind was aware of or even thought to be niche.

"The trend of-" There's a pause as the AI tried to recall what little they knew of preparing chicken (which wasn't much).

"Are you referring to chicken soup?" They did know that humans sometimes have it when they are feeling unwell. So perhaps that counted as medication?

"Manager, it may be time to execute the TT2 protocol... again..."

"Do not fear, for I am with thee. Thou shalt not leave until I permit thee." Buzzer sound as the menu refuses to open.

"THAT'S HORSESHIT, FUCK OFF!"

"Huh? Cake?... Tea?" It's a surprise for her to hear the offer of cake and tea, as she thought she was not working enough. Then again, it couldn't be helped to fear someone who could easily rip your body to shreds in an instant.
