Your silent protagonist doesn't have to use sign language btw. They don't have to write things down, either. They don't have to use language at all. Not every single person who doesn't talk can use words the same as you, or use them at all, so your favorite silent character shouldn't have to use what you consider a grammatical language to communicate in your fanart and fics. AAC exists. Drawing exists. Gestures and body language exist. Btw.

@pigeons-paintbrush Sorry for the late reply! I dont get on tumblr as much as I need to lol.... I cycle through rendering brushes a lot but I'm pretty sure I was mainly using so fluffy & so fluffy detail (mostly the latter) from Artsileo to first render her skin in greyscale, then used a gradient map i came up with on the fly.

This was a wip screenshot I took fairly early in the rendering process- I'm fairly sure this was a gradient map test to see how close to the glow I wanted before undoing it and working on it more.

Here's after I got the initial values I liked and put down the colors. From here I used like..... a shit load more Add (glow), overlay, hardlight, multiply layers until I got the effect I wanted (plus touch ups with detail brushes(mainly that so fluffy detail one)). That's.... probably not super helpful but for me rendering really is a process of just constantly tweaking things, getting mad, but continuing to just keep trying to tweak things until things start to make sense and you feel like you're totally prepared for the next time you do this and then when you open up a new file it's like you forgot everything you did previously and stumbling into trying to do things again lol.

It’s 2am, I’m laying in bed thinking about how I want Rein to live next to someone who has a chicken farm and one of the fat chickens just likes to perch themselves on top of his head when he goes over to get some eggs in exchange for... shit idk... Rein grows bitter melons and tomatoes on his roof so he gives em that. He never needs an alarm since a damn rooster is squawking at dawn.

don't vote harris. for the love of god or the love of your friends. please. voting for sherman, or de la cruz if their standing is too risky, or abstaining entirely is a greater step toward progress than voting blue no matter who.

if no one ever took a step toward progress that risked their own wellbeing then we wouldn't have progress in the first place. why should we be the only ones not to suffer. why should i save my skin while cementing my friends further into danger.
