AIR - All I Need (feat. Beth Hirsch) (from Moon Safari - Official Audio) [1998]

My photograph of Beth Hirsch (of Air fame) published in Venus Zine, Spring 2002. This was my first and only hired gig as a photographer. I was terrible at it, and everything about the experience was terrible! Like I have noted before; I take shitty photos that are usually blurry; this one being no exception! 😅 But, Hirsch was from The Tampa Bay area, and was visiting family in Clearwater; Venus Zine needed someone locally to photograph her, and somehow they contacted me. We did the shoot at The Castle because my friend Charley worked there and hooked me up. I don’t wanna talk shit…..bbbbbut Beth wasn’t very nice, which made me flustered and my job harder. She was speaking in a fake french accent the whole time, and pretty much thought she was a superstar. Ok I’m done talking smack now! 😅

Venus Zine was a quarterly internationally circulated magazine covering women in music, film, art, entertainment, literature, fashion, indie culture and DIY culture. It was published from 1995 through 2010.
