what time period is your slasher oc from?
I’m mostly writing for him in the late 50’s/early 60’s. Sometimes flashbacks will be around WW2 time period! 🤗
tell me if im wrong but i can imagine ben (as someone who values a good healthy romantic relationship) if he were to discover his s/o was cheating on him would be all *kill bill sirens*
Honestly, I don’t think his first instinct would be anger - more like sadness coupled with a sense of ‘well this was bound to happen’.
He doesn’t expect things to go well in a romantic/sexual relationship - he wants it to; but he doesn't have the personal experience to back that desire up and write it off as ‘sometimes shit happens’.
If he catches his S/O in the act he might give their partner a good punch; but that’s about it - and TBH he’s more likely to just leave unless S/O tries to confront him in the moment.
i hope it's ok to ask random questions about Ben! im curious how would he react if a s/o discovered they were pregnant? most peoples slasher ocs seem to have negative reactions so i wondered if ben would be any different

Ben already has a pretty massive amount of BDE (Big Dad Energy), and as he’s gotten older he’s just kind of naturally fallen into a protective/supportive role for a lot of the people who work for him or he knows around town.
If his S/O got pregnant he wouldn’t be upset with S/O, just disappointed in himself for not being more careful. Any guilt involved is going right on him - and if anyone makes any disparaging remarks to S/O about it Ben will be quick to correct them.
He never really considered having children of his own, but he’s not opposed to it. It’ll depend a lot on what S/O thinks. If they want to keep it, he’ll be fully supportive and step up in any way they want him to. If they’re not ready for kids, Ben will be ok with that choice as well.
