Send Help
"No help is coming, so you'd better start saving yourself."
My rule of thumb is that a movie doesn’t have to make much sense or be realistic as long as it’s fun. And this one sure is a lot of fun. A lot, a lot.
Where the script relies on cliches (and for the most part, it really doesn't; it’s as fresh as it could be), the two main leads make up for it. McAdams, with her unusual foray into the “disgusting”, really goes beyond her normal range and is not afraid to be ugly, socially awkward, and truly villainous, which for any of her fans would be a big surprise here.
Something needs to be said about Danny Elfman; he’s just perfection when it comes to the music score. Here, the disturbing combines with the comedic–the absurdity and mayhem are highlighted by music.
As the movie progresses and the tension between the two characters decreases, it starts to lose a little momentum, but the finale makes up for it, once again reminding us that everything's under control.
It's a definite 9 out of 10.
The hierarchy is about to crash. 🏝️🛩️

They have so much fun
Dylan about the popularity of Teenwolf
Dylan O’Brien looks like he’s finally having fun on a press tour. His chemistry with Rachel McAdams in this interview for Send Help is genuinely hilarious.
Before, you could always tell he really hated it. Except, of course, when it comes to his own film Twinless.
A press tour honestly seems like a pretty exhausting, boring stupid job to me. The same questions over and over again — silly questions, boring questions — that just keep going on and on. Long days filled with interviews like these. It all feels very outdated, like something from another era, and it hasn’t really changed in decades. It would be nice to see a different approach at some point, because even though some of the youtube clips themselves are fun, there’s usually very little variety in the interviews. With a few exceptions, it can be pretty dull.
