Ben10 having 3 separate continuities that all start off with the same core concept but took the idea in such different ways is precisely what the franchise needs.

We don't need them to keep doing the same thing over and over again.

Like ben10 should be allowed to spread it's wings beyond what the prior series established.

So.....at first this was an angry post about this bullshitery.....but then I decided to check tumblr to see what everyone else thought of the bullshitery.

Turns out........NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT.

Weird.

I would have figured SOMEONE would have had an opinion on this.........but I tried every tag and searchable name I could think of......and I only found ONE pic that was FOR the reboot.

In 2016-2017, in order to bring it to a new generation of kids, CN has started plans to revitalize Ben10 for a new audience.

My thoughts?

Why are they bothering to revitalize and beat a weary horse when we got good shows like Generator Rex, fantabulous works of art like Sym-Biotic Titan......OR the LONG AWAITED FAN FAVORITE SAMURAI JACK, which was epic in its story telling AND its visual style!

THIS is what I watched Cartoon Network for.

When Friday came, This badass opening promo GUARANTEED YOU in Peter Cullen’s voice, “SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN. TAKE A SEAT BEFORE YOU HURT YOURSELF FROM ALL THIS AWESOME.“

Cartoon Network was the place for all the badass edgy cartoons that Nickelodeon and Disney were too soft-hearted and whimpy to host.

They hosted safe, cute, cuddly shows and dumb, retarted teeny bop sitcoms. This is all what I thought when I was younger. I was SO PROUD to be a CN Fan at this time. YOU. ARE. HERE. Promised HARD HITTING storylines and fast paced action! I regret not taking in Sym-Biotic Titan when I had the chance.

Heck, I even sat for Ben 10 too, even though it wasnt a high favorite. If you know me, YOU KNOW what I went for....

But now, My CN has gotten soft and pudgy. They’ve gotten Cute and cuddly. And funny. And not in the Teen Titan funny where its a stroke of perfect genius blessed upon them by the gods that they are able to blend comedic elements with robin’s stoic personality and their general badassery.

Nope.

its just an entire network of brainless slap stick comedy.

nothing challenging for the mind......nothing to make you think “How awesome was THAT episode!?” or “OMGSH. I CANT WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK! HOW WILL BEN GET OUT omgsh..omgsh..omgsh.....” 

But

My thing is, Everyone says the whole “its not what it used to be.“ “Why did it have to change?“ I feel I must be casted in that same pit with all the other dejected fans that arent valued anymore for the sake of money.

CN just casted away their hard hitting shows for something easy and fluffy just for the sake of toy sales and easy bs. So, now there is not an EPIC FRIDAY BLOCK anymore. Heck, they brought back Toonami just to shove it between bob’s burgers and family guy like its some dirty, embarassing secret they dont want to confess to anymore. So, BECAUSE they keep kidifying shows, we wont ever GET shows like that back again.

Not only that, They keep Ben 10 around because it WAS their cash cow years ago but isnt now. I wasnt a HUGE fan of the show, but I feel GREATLY offended when they keep hashing out a show and REhashing it again over better shows that werent miswritten by their producers. (Seriously. Ben had 3 fracken personalities. One was a kid, the other was a Noble Cardboard box, and the other was Handsome Jack. It was no where NEAR a perfect series.)

Tl;Dr

These shows get ignored because they dont make ENOUGH money in toy sales.

They get rid of the ONE thing that made them different from Nickelodeon and disney. What IS Cartoon Network anymore without Badass Action shows?

Just a sad, stupid, neverending joke.

And lastly, because they are SO COMMITED to making AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN, they feel that it is IMPORTANT to go to their pet cemetary of dead shows and revitalize a show that has had a GOOD DECADE RUN.

A decade bruh. Seriously?
