The filming location for the Star Trek episode A Private Little War is sometimes mistaken as Vasquez Rocks. It was actually filmed in the Simi Valley at the Bell Ranch. It was a minor movie ranch directly between two much more famous filming locations - Corriganville and the Iverson Ranch. The landscape of Corriganville, Iverson, and Bell Ranch is ultimately the same, but eagle-eyed film and TV nerds can spot the difference. It’s a beautiful area that is a mere Uber ride away from Los Angeles - filled with fine nature, vibrant sunshine, film history, and painless hiking paths. It’s a wonderful day trip for any lover of the outdoors or hollywood history.Â
