Almunia imagined music made of  electronics ,psychedelic rock, balearic rhythms and blues feelings.

     The birth of Almunia was due to the need of two guys, Leonardo Ceccanti and Gianluca Salvadori to spread a kind of music that could be a mixture of their experience , mixing elements of electronics ,psychedelic rock, balearic rhythms and blues feelings.      After performing individually for about 15 years in their respective territories,including some of the most important italian clubs and discoes,Gianluca ask Leonardo to record something that could be their own. And so they did. The first Element that born was the strong presence of delayed guitar and bass, that threw immediatly the sound into dreamy and bluesy textures.      After that the two guys begun to put in electronic -chuggle basses and keyboards, voices and psychedelic effects that soon sublimated the sound . Soon in 2011 they record ‘’New Moon’’, the real first song of them, which was immediatly noticed by the english Paul Murphy, captain of the record labels ‘’Claremont 56’’ and ‘’Leng’’,at the point he asked the guys to make something togheter.      Almunia in a few months realized a whole album, 8 songs that were collected In the ‘’New Moon’’ work that was released in the summer of 2011. Success in the UK was strong and immediate.The record has remained for weeks at the first place in the Juno Records site , and all the reviews were ardent.     The two guys were soon called to play in UK at Paul Murphy’s parties and in various festivals in Italy, and at the same time they continued producing. Almunia made Eps for No Static Records , United Recordings and above Machine (UK), a remix for Max Essa ,and received remixes from Idjut Boys,Felix Dickinson, Wes Coats,Crag Bratley,Marius Circus,Andrew Clarke. The second album the band realized , ‘’Pulsar’’, was out in may 2013, two years after the first, and was another big success. Here’s the Juno records feedback : ‘’ Two years on from the release of their remarkable debut album, ‘New Moon’, Almunia return with a second full-length of chugging psychedelic dub-disco, shimmering acoustic grooves and spine-tingling Italian Balearica. Decidedly less heady than its predecessor, 'Pulsar’ impresses with its glistening guitars, touchy-feely textures, ocean-blue chords and otherworldly atmospherics. Along the way, there are tracks that variously sound like Cos/Mes jamming with Pet Metheny (‘The Magician’), the Idjuts locking horns with Mudd (‘Ode To Mum’), classic Scandolearica (the Lindstrom & Prins Thomas-ish ‘Pulsar’), Peter Green on valium (‘Views From A Blue Train’) and a lost Fleetwood Mac track (‘Secret Marriage’). Featuring brilliant new artwork by Mark Warrington this is an essential summer album.’The Almunia project was noticed also in The United States, particulary by the ‘’Ghostly International’’ crew, that put the Pulsar Lp in Streaming of the famous Tycho ‘s blog, ‘’ISO 50 ‘’. In 2 years by their first release, these guys had spread their music around the world.
