I feel like I'm an outliner and a big nitpicker in this situation because I really don't think I like the Once Upon a Time chapters in Astro Boy that all. People give it a lot of praise and I used to think it was interesting, but now I really do not think fondly of it at all.
I don't know if it's because it has this whole time Paradox thing going on or that this story's timeline feels like it exists just to erase a bunch of other stories that happened in the Astro Boy canon (which might be fair in some cases) while also adding a bunch of other stuff that doesn't really feel like they matter or make sense in the long run.
I also don't think I like Scara as a character or Hoshie's inclusion very much. AtB makes me REALLY wish this even more tbh. I'm not okay with her being a kid at all. Makes me mad as hell.
I get that a lot of people like Hoshie, but I feel like she's is just as redundant as Astro boy's robot parents, even though I like his parents more .
And I'm not really a fan Astro's robot mom being a copy of Hoshie, they should be separate entities just as much as his robot father is completely separate person from Tenma.
