I’m super proud of my Jewel for earning one of only four Texas Association of School Boards “Student Voices” Scholarships in the state at #WinGov2018, a few weeks ago. It was great getting to hear her and the other three student panelists from Harlingen, Austin and Texarkana discussing the current state of affairs of our public schools in Texas. A huge thank you to the staff at #TASB for taking great care of us during our stay in Galveston. The inroads she made during the two-day event are priceless and I’m sure they’ll pay dividends down the road.
