This is our Finnish version of a Red Beetroot Soup! Healthy & Good! What to eat with Red Beetroot Soup? Traditionally, we serve beetroot ...
In Timo’s Level 1 Pop’n Sweet Cafe story, Timo apparently channels his inner vampire at dawn by eating Beetroot Soup made with vampire root beets. Joshua makes the suggestion to cut down the acidic taste with cream, but MC is still unconvinced and wants to just eat her basic bitch normal breakfast.
There were two recipes I was torn against using, which is obviously the one linked and then this one which was adapted from a Finnish cookbook. They both had their merits with completely different methods yet retaining similar ingredients. In the end I went with the one from Scandinavian Today Cooking Show just because it physically most resembled the Pop’n Sweet Cafe image.
When it comes to borscht you really can’t go wrong as this dish is delicious. Both recipes use sour cream, and it sounds counter-intuitive to use something sour to combat acidity but it somehow works. A friend made this dish for me when she got back from Russia. I had eaten borscht before but never with sour cream, and honestly I can’t imagine eating this soup without it now.
The choice to make of how you want this dish is always yours, though, and largely depends on your ingredients, equipment, level of comfort, and time you have until daybreak and you have to get into your coffin because if you’re making this then you’re probably a vampire...
Allegedly.
