Broadway!
Dot Bloomington dreams of making it big in Jazz Age Broadway, and marrying her new boyfriend, Cornelius Springer.
A taste of the randomness my mother has to put up with from me. 🤣

"Yer Beautiful, Babey!”
Welcome to the Beetle Ball!! Antenna required.
Technically I didn't change much? aside from the wings this costume is pretty similar to the movie version. There's the big bug-head, the riot of colors, the carapace wing-covers, the extremely pointy shoulders that translated perfectly into 1830′s extreme horizontal-puff sleeves, full skirt with overskirt for more Beetle effect.... the biggest changes were the removal of her extra sleeve-fabric & the wings. Let’s say we don’t live in the dystopia where the Beetles casually rip the wings off of butterflies to create a costume with wings... what do you use? Well I was inspired by vintage fairy/butterfly Halloween costumes! Why not have fabric wings?! It could be cool. ;)
