I've just seen that it is also John Zorn's birthday today too. I posted something the other day of his, and here is something else - from his Masada group and the mind-blowing Live in Seville album is 'Beeroth'. Nothing else sounds too much like it - lots of Jewish flavour and the energy of an Ornette Coleman record. Joey Baron's 'Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da' drums  (you'll hear it....) are stunning too. I used to listen to this album on my headphones when my old neighbours played their awful music far too loud. A therapy, of sorts, and a hell of an experience.
