HEADCANON : spare time
furuta hates spare time. if he’s not occupied, it opens a window for it all to come crashing down on him -- both done unto him and done unto others. it’s not that he feels guilty ( guilt isn’t in his repertoire ) but he would rather not think about the past. he’s future driven, and his future is his inevitable death. spare time is too much time to think about the fact that he will die. busy time is time spent making that death MEAN SOMETHING.
he doesn’t have hobbies as such, because he rarely likes to enjoy things for more than their single use, so he spends his spare time:
napping. catching up on sleep in between jobs
laundry. he has some with ghoul scents and some with human scents so neither parties think something is wrong.
reading. he loves children’s books, disney in particular. something in him is stuck at 6 years old and he reads aloud to himself in a bed full of penguin plushes.
cooking. will cook as if the host on a tv show, speaking to an imaginary audience through each step, in his frilly apron. it’s always human meat.
acting. speaks to himself as he waltzes around his apartment, scrolling from persona to persona.Â
social media. his presence on social media is in abundance. he is a man of the times, and maintains his personas effortlessly across all platforms. you’ll probably find him on the seedier ghoul networks, however, under souta-related aliases.
