I think I often complain about being a social worker and being put into shitty situations as a social worker, but I do forget that I am in fact--as much as I can be in this corrupt system--a good social worker.

#anyway reflections after building rapport with a teenager#giving feedback about our new responsibilities and how to improve it AND THEN BEING QUOTED IN MEETINGS???#and having my manager (good manager) tell me today that I have to remember I help everyone and their clients out and#that I should ask for help too#and like#*blinks into abyss*#between advocating for better changes while they're shaking things up and helping a kid out and reflecting on not only advocating#for my clients but clients that ain't even mine#im like#huh#i#uh#am new to my job and need improvement#but I am good at it#and if anything#my bitchy attitude aside at times#i know how to build respect and rapport from both clients and colleagues#and that is a very useful skill to have as a social worker#anyway reflections for the night#like i left work today and was like#did#have i#been doing#okay work?#waht
