I hope everyone is having a lovely Monday, despite ao3 being down!
For some reason my podficcing time seemed to evaporate the past few months, so this took much longer than I thought it would, but I'm happy to share this podfic now! Listen for a sweet fic with Remus as a beekeeper, Sirius as a student teacher, and Lily and James conquering their deepest fears. Written by @halictus-writer and featuring @girlwithcurls96 as Remus' neighbour Minnie.
I'll make the ao3 post when I can, but in the meantime, here's a link to the audiobook file from google drive and you can also stream or download on archive.org here

Aw! Thank you so much for this fun ask, friend. I love this idea of Kindergarten Teacher!Sirius and Beekeeper!Remus together. And I am so happy to hear that you just thought about these characters while sitting in a Target parking lot. Thatâs awesome. <3
Here is a little 357 word piece (within the Beekeeping in the Daylight universe) that you inspired with this ask:
âMister Sirius! Mister Sirius!â
Sirius bit back a grin as he turned to his rightâand downâto face one of his students.
âYou have glitter in your hair!â The kindergartner giggled and ran back to his table before Sirius could reply. Sirius didnât need a mirror to confirm the statement. Most of his classroom was coated in some combination of environmentally-friendly glitter, glue, and paper scraps. It was a miracle if his hair only gained the glitter. When guided by twenty childrenâall of them high on Valentineâs day sugar and excitement, aged either five or sixâchaos was inevitable. Sirius loved it.
He did another once-over of his classroom before sitting again, with his own piece of red cardstock, slightly-slimy glue stick, and paper plate of silver glitter. He was on a mission.
Two hours later, Sirius parked his motorcycle next to Remusâs truckâwhere it belongedâand swung his legs off the side. Before entering the farmhouse, Sirius removed his helmet, grabbed his bag, and threw a wink at the living room window. The setting sun was reflecting harshly off of it, so he couldnât see inside, but he guessed Remus was watching. He liked to watch him shake his hair out after removing the helmet, anyway.
Sure enough, the front door opened, and Remus stepped outâgorgeous as alwaysâto pull Sirius in for a quick kiss. He smelled slightly of smoke.Â
âHow are the bees?â Sirius asked.
âCold. I only needed to give them a bit of smoke today.â
Sirius smiled, loving to watch his beekeeper show his knowledge. âI have something for you.â
âYeah?â Remus grinned. âWant to give it to me inside instead of on the porch?â He bit his lip playfully, and Sirius rolled his eyes fondly as he pulled Remus inside.
âHappy Valentineâs Day.â Sirius handed over the card, and watched Remusâs smile soften.
âBee mine,â he read aloud. âThis is adorable, thank you baby.â
Sirius tilted his head forward to catch Remusâs lips in a real kiss. Remus sighed into him, and slowly carded fingers through Siriusâs hair. He pulled back suddenly.
âWhatâs wrong?â Sirius asked.
âNothing.â Remus laughed. âYou have glitter in your hair.â
Sirius is helping James and Lily conquer as many of their irrational fears as possible before they have their baby, in order to not pass them on. One day, Sirius takes a panic-stricken James to a friendly (and handsome) beekeeper. Slow burn, strangers to friends to lovers.
