Garden Planning
Yeah, I know. I'm crazy but it's cold and January and I miss being outside in the sun in the garden. But I CAN go ahead and start planning what I want to put out this year.
Vegetable wise? Maybe not as many tomatoes lol I've still got enough tomato soup I made to have it for lunch every day until June lol I'm lucky the kids love pasta dishes because I made so many jars of marinara. The salsa I made, about half of that is gone already. 🫨
Last year, I did have some herbs and flowers out. This year I want to focus more on having a bee-friendly garden. It's good for the environment, you know?
Lavender - I planted French lavender but it didn't do so well. Trying again in 2026
Coneflowers - Adding this year
Bee Balm - I had pink bee balm for years until last year. I found purple seeds will try for 2026
Sunflowers - want to plant these around the house
Black-Eyed Susans - I really want to plant these!
Herbs - Rosemary, Thyme, and Basil (if you let it flower!) Mint is also good for bees but it spreads like wildfire. I already have Oregano all over my yard!
Are you planning for the year ahead? What are YOU planting?
