I feel like a person from the past but I NEED to share this. I was shipping (in a healthy way I hope 😂) gadri before they were even called that name. I know who came up with it 😭 I remember 2022/23 season. Man, it feels like another universe… then I had my own life so I stopped following football. Now, bc of World Cup, I revisited my old interests and wow 😳 Gadri is SO ALIVE and they changed a lot. I know about Gavi injuries etc. but I didn’t know that they both matured. Speaking of the ship itself, their interactions are a lot more tender, deeper and caring. They’re still playful but you can feel they’re now emotionally attached. Back in the old days they were just kids, very curious about each other. Now, even though they’re still young, they’re partners in crime united by their joint experience. I won’t be surprised if they become codependent in the future 😅
I’m glad this duo still has fans. You won’t get bored with them, and after all this years, I’m sure they’re going to entertain us with their (often toxic) feelings 😉
first of all that's so fucking cool 🥹🥹🥹 now I also wanna know who came up with the name and thank them hihi
I personally shipped them 22/23 too but it was more of a joke like haha look at how they look at each other bet they're not just friends, then in 2024 I got introduced to actual fanfictions about them and was like woah, then started writing my own in 2025 😂
I agree with everything you said about how their connection has changed!! sometimes it feels like they're each other's safe place especially because they've been so close for years and they just always orbit back around each other, even when they're in different friend groups, and I love it 🥹 I love that you came back to gadri after years to find them still as best friends and still being shipped 😭❤️ there were phases just recently where they were less shipped actually
we always get so happy over every tiny interaction and new detail about their connection, we sure aren't getting tired :)) (wait what do you mean with toxic feelings though 😅 the codependency/possessiveness?)
