yuta okkotsu is a little... odd.

you love him, you really do! but he does this totally weird thing when he's laying behind you.

picture this; you're trying not to doze off while you doomscroll on your phone, and he's laying behind you with his arms around your torso and his face snuggled between your neck and pillow. all up in your personal space, but that's not the weird thing.

he has this habit of warming his hands up on you. sometimes he'll sneak his ice-cold hands into your pockets, other times he'll hold yours and pretend you're the one with freakishly cold hands. he'll do anything but keep his own hands warm.

this time was a little different.

you pay no mind to him pushing the hem of your shirt up slightly. you ignore the way he leans over your shoulder and presses a tender kiss to your cheek, as if to distract you from the freezing cold sensation of his hands sliding onto your abdomen.

"yuta!" you shriek, squirming in his arms.

"sorry, sorry," he sheepishly grins. he slides his hands a little lower, slipping under the waistband of your pants and down onto your upper thighs.

you tense up a little, adjusting to his hands stealing your body's warmth. eventually, his hands just feel apart of your own body; all warmed up. it's a gentle gesture that you've gotten used to.

but, of course, yuta has to add his weird touch to it.

first, his fingers rub tenderly along the spot they rest on. that's okay, not too distracting. next, he slides his fingers out of your pants and immediately back in, just under where your underwear sits on your hips.

"yuta..."

"what? i wanna be closer to you."

you let it slide. again. to be fair, it's not like he's got ulterior motives. from what you can see, at least. his thumb rubs up and down along one spot on your hips, faintly tickling a shiver from you. he slides his free hand up your back, feeling around until he finds the clasp of your bra. in one swift move, he unclasps it, gently rubbing the spot it tightened at to ease the pressure.

sneaky bastard.

his hand wraps around your side in a way that makes you swear he's about to turn this quiet time together into something quite a bit louder. but it never comes. his thumb rests on your back, his palm curved over your side and finger tips rubbing beneath the curve of your breast. it's almost absentminded, by the way his hand on your hip slows down and curls in to cup your inner thigh.

stupid, weird boy. who falls asleep midway through whatever this was??

yuuta starts off playing fair.. doesn't stack yet, saying 'uno' politely. that lasts one round until someone (nobara) hits him with a +4 and his competitive streak lights up a little— apologises while destroying you "I'm really sorry.. I think this is a +12..😄" (he's not sorry)

I feel like megumi wouldn't have played uno no mercy before? lmao like he's only seen the normal version so the first time he sees the pile he just stares at it like '?'

megumi: "...That's not how Uno works."

nobara: “It does today, grandpa.”

yuuji: “Welcome to the future.”

then nobara's the type to list her own rules mid-game cuz she played like that back home— they have to pause mid game to google it to prove to her that's not in the official rules.

maki: “…what was that.”

nobara (dead serious): “You can play multiple cards if they’re the same number or color.”

beat.

megumi: “No you can’t.”

nobara: “Yes you can. It’s literally the rule.”

yuuji immediately: “Ohhh that sounds right actually—”

megumi: “It’s not.”

nobara doubling down like she’s citing legal code.

“You city kids don’t know anything 🙄 we’ve always played like this.”

maki: “That’s called a house rule.”

nobara: “So? We’re in a house.”

panda.. somehow ends up with half the pile in his hand, gets hit with +2, +4, +8. Until he has enough to mime the money spread with uno cards💀 atp he's not even playing seriously, accidentally flashes a few cards, but like— No one even reacts that hard. Because like—yeah. Of course he has those. He picked half the deck.

yuuji is the one who actually bought the 'no mercy' version, “Guys I got UNO No Mercy 😃”

Then he pulls out a second stack.

megumi: “…why are there two.”

yuuji: “More players = more cards = more fun!”

maki is already sensing the future. It’s bleak.

30 minutes in,

No one has gone below 5 cards. Not once. The discard pile looks like a crime scene. Stacks are hitting +10 like it’s casual.

yuuta is still trying to play properly. He’s suffering.

1 hour in,

megumi: “We haven’t had a winner.”

Silence.

Everyone kind of pauses. Looks around. Counts their cards. It’s BAD

(and that's how they built a never ending uno circuit)

Now as for how yuuji actually is in the game?

The loudest sufferer.

Constant:

“AWW MAN 😭”

“BRO WHY ME??”

table slamming (lightly)

Gets hit with a huge stack and just collapses onto the table.

Mutters stuff like: “this is rigged…”

Yeah, he might call Nobara a bitch under his breath after she hits him with a +8💀

nobara: “I heard that.”

yuuji: “Yeah?? Well, that's cause it's true—” (ducks out of reach)

But he never actually leaves. He’s too invested. Too emotional. He needs to see it through.

Now for maki... She won’t quit (too competitive to rage quit even if she does have the temper) but she will absolutely start retaliating.

Gets hit with a +4 early on, just clicks her tongue. Fine. Noted.

Second time? slight eye roll.

Third time?? “…seriously?”

Foot taps under the table. Someone’s shin is in danger.

panda hits her with a stack → immediately regrets it. feels a very precise kick.

panda: “OW—what was that??”

maki, not even looking at him: “Play your turn.”

And ofc it can't be game night without a cheater- toge's the type to start with a normal hand and somehow end with three cards while everyone else still has 10+. No one clocks it at first because he’s so low-key.

Meanwhile one card slides under the table edge.

One disappears behind a cushion.

One gets palmed like a magician.

Drops “salmon…” and places a perfectly legal card like he’s innocent 😭

gojo wasn't even invited. He just walks in, sees his students all sitting in a circle, cards on the table- and pulls up a chair like he was always invited.

maki: “No.”

nobara: “Absolutely not.”

gojo: “Too late, I’m emotionally invested.”

At FIRST he’s just regular-cheating: peeking at reflections, distracting people, classic nonsense.

Then someone (probably maki or yuuta) points out,

“…wait. Your eyes.”

Pause.

gojo: “…oh.”

The grin?? Criminal.

“So you’re telling me I can see all your cards?”

Immediate outrage.

megumi: “You’re not playing.”

gojo: “Counterpoint: I already am.”

Starts narrating hands just to mess with people 😭

gojo: “Wow, Nobara, holding onto that +4? Bold.”

nobara: “I WILL END YOU.”

They try to kick him out but he’s already mid-turn dropping the most diabolical stack known to mankind. Claims it’s “just good intuition.”

No one believes him. Not even yuuji.

lol as for the game ending?

megumi finally builds a solid hand. Like… actually good. He’s about to win.

toge is sitting there with 2 cards (suspicious already).

gojo casually goes: “megumi, you should play the green.”

megumi: “Why would I—”

yuuji: “DON’T LISTEN TO HIM—”

Too late.

megumi plays green.

toge: “salmon.” (drops last card)

Silence.

megumi just stares into the void.

meanwhile gojo is smiling like he just orchestrated a social experiment. nobara throws a card at him. hard.

the two of you sat on the couch with your daughter nestled between you. the conversation was simple, but important. you guys were teaching her about the kids at school who might not always be kind, and to help prepare her, you practiced a few respectful responses she could use if someone tried to be mean. “i don’t like your clothes,” he says, putting on a snarky expression as he plays the part of a bully. she blinked up at him innocently, taking a second to think before a bright smile spread across her face. “you’re allowed to feel that way!” she exclaims, a little too happy with her answer. you couldn’t help but laugh as you applauded her. “good job. and if they keep bothering you, you tell your teacher, okay?” you say gently. she nods without hesitation. you guys weren’t too worried about her getting picked on. she had such a kind heart that she naturally got along with just about everyone. still, it never hurt to prepare her. better safe than sorry.

playful banter was always going on between your husband and your daughter, so when you brought up your concerns about bullies at school, he immediately decided he needed to test her. “okay, so you know i have to prepare you for bullies,” he starts. “i’m not going to get bullied,” she cuts in immediately, sounding far too confident for someone her age. he lets out a small laugh. “i know, baby. let’s just pretend. i’m someone mean, and i say i think you’re dumb.” she stares at him for all of two seconds, completely unamused. “well, i think you’re fat.” the words come out so fast and so matter-of-factly that your husband is left sitting there in stunned silence. you have to bite the inside of your cheek to keep from laughing. he slowly turns to look at her. “okay… is that how you really feel, or?” he asks, his feelings visibly hurt. your daughter just shrugs, completely unfazed, while you finally give up trying to hold back your laughter. maybe she didn’t need as much help dealing with bullies as you originally thought.

earlier that day, you told your husband you wanted to go over how to deal with bullies at school with your daughter. he insisted she would be just fine and already knew exactly what to say or do when it came to the “little fuckers” at school who wanted to be assholes. still, you wanted to test that theory. you sent him to ask her how she would respond if someone was mean to her. he settled onto the floor of her bedroom where she was busy playing with her toys. “alright, angel, let’s play a little game,” he gruffs, and your daughter immediately gives him her full attention, fidgeting with the toy in her hands. “pretend i’m a bully, ‘kay?” he asks. she nods. “i don’t like you,” he says with a nasty tone, barely needing to act since that was the attitude he had toward everyone who wasn’t you or his daughter “die!” your husband’s eyes widen for a split second before a smug smirk slowly spreads across his face. yeah… she was going to be just fine.
